Alice Morning Show is again Sarah & Vinnie

After a couple weeks of wondering what the balls was going to happen on the quickly deterioting Alice morning show, original co-host Vinnie Hasson from the early days of Alice Radio is back on board after getting fired in 2002 for getting wasted too much.  Too much of the sauce.  Many of you speculated that this was going to happen.  Vinnie was before my time listening to the station but everyone seems to like him so, Goulet!  I listened this morning and admit I had a chuckle or two, what’s everyone elses take on this?

  1. Vinnie’s OK, but I’m not really feeling him yet. PLUS, I still miss No Name! I was around to hear the original Sarah and Vinnie show, and frankly, found Vin annoying back in the day. He seems to have settled down a bit now that he’s off the sauce.

I am totally excited that Vinnie is back, I am an original listener from when they first started in SF , although I loved No Name he could get on ones nerves a little I wish all the best for Vinnie

  3. Steve says:

So….the get rid of No Name because hes a “man’s man” according to Fox news and mgmt wants to target their demographic (women 18-35).

Now they bring back Vinnie w/ his Taco Nation and Boobieland and the news lady even mentioned that Alice is ready to bleep material said by Vinnie on the broadcast.

If No Name is a “man’s man” does that mean Vinnie is a big pussy.

  4. Hmmmm….now it seems that they’ve brought back Kathy “the traffic girl” too. What’s with all the recycling?

  5. Garrett says:

I noticed that! I’m really not digging the show anymore. It seems ok when they have a guest and they keep it moving, but normally it just doesn’t peak my interest like the old crew. I find myself switching over to live 105.

I am an original Alice listener.
I thought Sarah and Vinnie were hilarious back in the day, so I was excited to hear that Vinnie was back. I’m a little disappointed to listen now. They just don’t have their old chemistry yet – Sarah seems uptight and angry and Vinnie is too cautious. Maybe they just need more time.

  7. Eugene Fan says:

We miss Vinnie in Eugene, Oregon already :(

  8. Jen says:

I don’t miss No Name. I thought he was whiney. I like Vinnie fine, and Sarah’s great. Rock on.

  9. matty says:

No name was a punk. Ever since Katrina when he mocked the city of New Orleans before realizing the magnitude of distruction I have boycotted Alice. However I’m ready to give.S and V a listen.

  10. Bozaroo says:

I was just talking to someone last week about the Sarah and Vinnie show back in the day and how I’d/we’d both stopped listening shortly after he was dropped. Just found out he’s back – yeah! – will be listening again. Sarah’s cool but the No Name guy, well. He didn’t have a name. It was boring. IMO. I’ll be checking it out again. Welcome BACK!

  11. sandy says:

WELCOME BACK VINNIE….He seems to have mellowed a little bit. I’ll give him some time to reconnect with Sarah. Will be listening again…,

oh wow! I guess if you’re talent-staff you get carte-blance…Steve Dinardo & David Bramnick don’t like hemmoraging revenue…Sumner wouldn’t approve. During vinny’s & no-name’s tenure I was more of a ‘house-nigga’ doing the grunt work for KCBS, KLLC, & KITS from 1997-2003…doesn’t matter, tasks like processing mail, switchboard operator, housekeeping and lunch courier get vendored out to temp agencies anyway…or do they?
Regina, do they got you cleaning the refrigerator girl?…oh hell no!!!
