According to this article from Sfist, No Name will not be on the Alice morning show any longer. The article’s facts are a little vague but it doesn’t seem surprising since they recently changed producers and seem to be taking the show down a new path. I’ve been listening to Sarah and No Name ever since I’ve lived in SF and have grown acustomed to their funny morning antics. As you may recall, I made a song for their 60 second song contest that didn’t win anything but was played a few times. As pathetic as it sounds I really hope it’s not true, my morning commute wouldn’t be the same! Am I the only one who thinks that was a bad idea?

Take Sarah off already. I used to be an avid listener almost 10 years ago (when Vinny was on), but grew bored of her bossy whiny OLD ass, and Hooman makes me wanna scream. No name and Scott were the *only reasons* I bothered to listen the very rare few times as I did. No Name and Scott were running the show one morning and I had not laughed that hard in so long. GET A CLUE ALICE: the world is about hip and young, Not old and washed up. I hope No Name gets his own show on MTV or something. He’s always been better than Alice morning show radio.

Someone on the petition site stated that the Live 105 morning show was talking about No Name this morning, and he already has a new TV gig lined up on ESPN. So bad for us (he won’t be returning to radio) but GOOD FOR HIM!
Well if that’s true that sounds pretty cool for him, I remember he always was bringing up that fighting stuff.
This TOTALLY sucks!! I loved No Name and at least once a week came home and shared No Name stories with my husband. I loved the one about Junko eating pigeon poo! I loved his male chauvanistic act for the show. I was obvious he is a good family dude and his persona for the show was AWESOME!! I agree, listening to chicks talk is BORING. I love Sarah too, but there was no reason to change a great show.
I love Sarah but it will not be the same w/o No Name. the only thing you could possibly do to fix this would be to bring Vinnie back.

I have inside info from Vinny family member back on July8th that Vinny is currently looking for an apartment in the City and will be back on Alice in September. I suppose that is the evil plan that sarah refers to now…she is the evil that got no name fired and she is so boring…but bottom line…Vinny will be back in December…dont buy the hype that they are auditioning ANYBODY!!

I listened in today for a few minutes and found myself totally confused… Mattie was on the show! He and Sarah talked about the whole situation and people called in expressing their opinions… it got pretty tense there for a while! Anywho… a caller talked about the Vinny rumor and the way Sarah tried to squirm herself out of answering led me to believe there is DEFINITELY something there! She also said that the reason he left is because of his addiction… something she had never talked about before. I think Vinny IS coming back! Who-hoo!! For me, this would be FANTASTIC! I looooved Vinny! It was the reason why I started listening 11 years ago.
Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why in the world would Alice get rid of No Name!!!? I have to admit, that without No Name in the show, I stopped listening to KLLC 97.3 and have since moved over to try other morning shows…and this is just simply sad. Please, PLEASE bring back No Name or at the very least provide the real truth why he was let go….I am highly suspicious of Sarah….MMMM…..the name Judas comes to mind.

There’s like 3 diff. posts on craigslist under rants/raves from supposed “station insiders” that claim that Sarah will ALSO get the boot in a few weeks. That the station is looking to completely “clean house” and are in negotiations to hire a whole new morning team! I’m not sure which rumors to believe: these latest ones, or the ones that Vinnie is coming back – ?????!
I wonder if No Name decided to leave the morning show himself in order to do that ESPN show, and asked the station to tell everyone he’d been let go. It would be a good plan in order to keep the fans on his side to support his new endeavor. But then again, I’m not sure the station would willingly endure this punishment by the listeners…unless it was in some kind of contract…

You fired No Name to fit a certain demographic? No Name Sucked. I had been listening since the day of Vinnie. I am 31 one now and No Name is gross and not liked by women. What were they thinking wiring someone from a rock station like 105!!! No name is a sick party animal that drinks all the time and sounds like he is stoned on the air. Get someone who sounds good and is adult a little bit. I know lots of teacher friends who have stopped listening due to No Name heartless, uncaring nature to the type of people who live in the city. He has a dark side. People don’t want that and stupid in the morning. Please find Sarah someone with a brain.
I found myself listening a few times this week because I was fascinated by how bad the show was without him…but would have to change quickly because I couldn’t endure it. Sarah and management will be all fired soon. I did hear Sarah say that she’s known about it for awhile. Did she really think that she was bringing in the ratings? It’s air, and now they have nothing. No Name will be the big winner in all this. Really, it’s the best thing that could happen to his career, because the ratings are going to be realy bad very soon. Sarah and management basically fired themselves and ruined they’re careers in the big picture. Funny sometimes how things work out…
I have been a long time listener of the morning show since the days of Vinnie. When I heard (after being out of town the last few days) that No Name was fired, I was shocked. Although I know that he will move on to bigger and better things and will have the pleasure of sleeping in from now on, this still sucks. What stinks the most is that he didn’t get a proper and respectful send off. So many listeners loved him. It makes no sense to denigrate someone who put in 6 years of 100% effort. I LOVE Sarah and it doesn’t surprise me that she’s outlasted Nervous Breakdown Boy Vinnie and now, Mike Nelson. Mike was ok, but his grunts and growls and uber-boy stuff was tiresome. I liked him a lot better on HGTV. I wish him well. SARAH ROCKS.

Like #73/Brian I found myself listening a few times in the past few days (even though I swore I wouldn’t!) just to hear how bad the show is w/o No Name. Believe me, it’s painful. And yesterday Sarah all but admitted that Vinnie is coming back to co-host. Someone called in to say that Vinnie had just quit the station he’s currently at (in Eugene, OR) and she squirmed when asked if he was returning.
Vinnie is coming back…who cares it is so hard to listen now that I have found better.
No Name was fired simply because Sarah had become fed up with him. She had been having problems with him for the last few years, and frankly, it was her show to begin with.
Alice did what Sarah wanted. They’re bringing Vinnie back now that he’s clean and sober.
So, which came first (a) the decision to fire No Name, or (b) the decision to hire Vinnie?

I specifically didn’t listen to the show when he was on 5 years ago, LOVED LOVED the show with Noname and now Vinnie is back. Sorry, Alice, you lost a VERY loyal listener.

I used to listen to the show when it was Sarah & Vinnie. When they got rid of Vinnie, I couldn’t have imagined a replacement for him. He was funny. Then came No Name. Who was hilarious. I continued to listen to the show because of him. Then Sarah became such a raving lunatic. She seemed to get worse as she got older & after she had a kid. It became shrill & annoying. I just couldn’t handle it anymore, so I stopped listening. Whatever… they say they’re going for their target audience of females 25-44. As a 37 year old female, I have to say Sarah is not what I want to listen to.

No name is annoying but not as bad as Sara or Vinnie. No man’s voice let alone his ego & sexist focus is just mind numbing. Sara’s old and just annoying & vinnie’s voice cracked to much maybe that was the sauce then again to listen to sarah all the time you would need something to drown yourself. If they wanted to change to men why not put the supposeably hot producer on Yvette or whatever. I remember when she was on z95.7. Radio especially in the bay area is so boring & annoying, no orginality anymore its all Howard Stern rip offs, not that I’m a fan of his either. Radio just sucks and the monoplies limiting options help keep it that way. I’ll keep listening to my cd’s & iphone especially when it comes to listening to Alice or Sarah & anyone. You couldnt pay me enough even in this economy to listen. Fire the whole lot & start over.
