Social Studies

Last night I went to Hemlock Tavern and met up with my hommie Doug. After paying the $6 dollar cover I got into the concert area where the band Social Studies was about to play. The lead singer used to work at the SF Symphony with me and Doug; that’s why I went. Doug had been telling me for a while that they were a great band and that I should check them out. After watching them perform I was amazed. Natalia has a great voice and the band sounded awesome! It was a great show although by the end I was sweating major balls. It was a good time though, a Trumer and a couple of Stellas topped it off just fine.
Then tonight! Oh it was interesting tonight. Me, Elena, Christina, and Elena’s old housemate Brian went to dinner then to a couple of bars. First we hit up silver clouds but there was still people eating dinner so it wasn’t much of a scene. Then we went to this place down Chestnut but it was like going to the elks lodge on a monday night. Nastalgic. We finnally ended up at this karaoke place in the tenderloin. It was pretty trashy but it was fun listening to the people who thought they were the shit try to sing in tune. Christina went up and sang, the only person in the whole place who accually could. Now I’m home with a sack load of homework. Awesome! Being buzzed helps though.
