Last weekend we decided to hit up Disc Kart Indoor Racing here in Shanghai for some Saturday drinking and go kart driving. Yea, there’s a bar there and you actually buy your beer and go kart passes all from the same cashier. Quite ingenious really. Before racing we enjoyed a couple beers in the bar area which overlooks the track, allowing us to get acquainted with it and mentally prepare our racing strategies.
Helmets were not required, although looking back it would have been a good idea. These things can get going pretty fast on the straights and if you’re not paying attention I’m sure you can get into a bit of trouble.
