The Mini is not Fuel Efficient Enough!

Well I guess 40mpg isn’t good enough for BMW’s mini.  It looks like they’re actually developing an electric version of the tiny transporter dubbed the Mini EV (I guess I can’t really compare mpg to electricity, but oh well!).  This new undertaking is part of BMW’s Project i, a program to develop low emission city cars.  BMW plans to only build 500 and ship them all to California, 490 of which will be leased to selected customers and the rest as show cars.  Mini EV, it’s a good thing.
